Laura Carpenter is an Irish-born author whose stories pulse with emotion, authenticity, and heart. Now living in Canada for over 20 years, Laura left behind a traditional desk job to pursue the creative life she always dreamed of. Since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been writing nonstop—building worlds, developing sagas, and crafting the kinds of stories that stay with readers long after the last page.
She is the author of 33 novels, including The Rope Beneath Her Skin (Final Fall Book One), The Ties That Made Us (A Devlin Grove Novel), Velvet, Almost Always, Legendborn Awakening, and He Scared the Monsters Away. Her work explores the beauty and pain of love, the legacy of trauma, and the quiet strength of resilience across generations.
Laura is also a proud mother, an animal lover (with more than a few spoiled cats), and a fierce advocate for creativity at every age. Her writing is inspired by her own experiences growing up between divided communities in Ireland, her journey through healing, and her belief that storytelling can mend what the world breaks.
